William G. “Bill” Cejka, 74, of Marion, passed away, Thursday, October 17, 2024. Visitation: 9-11 AM, Monday, October 21, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Funeral Service: 11 AM, Monday, October 21 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website under the obituary for Bill Cejka, under the video tab starting at 11 AM, October 21. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the interment, a luncheon and car cruise-in will be held at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 3500 29th Ave., Marion, IA 52302 from 12:30 to 4:30 PM.

Bill was born on July 10, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of William A. and Mary (Anderson) Cejka. He was united in marriage to Sharon Clement on September 23, 1978, in Cedar Rapids. Early on Bill worked for Century Engineering. He spent many years restoring cars. Bill was especially proud of his Orange 1969 Camaro. He was a prominent member of the Cedar Rapids Car Community. He was particularly fond of his Thursday Night Car Cruises. Bill enjoyed sharing his love of restoring cars and helped many people with their restoration projects. In addition to his local activities, he liked traveling with his son Chris to swap meets (especially Jefferson), the Woodward Dream Cruise, and the Barrett-Jackson Auction. Most importantly, Bill was remarkably close with his granddaughter MacKenzie. He loved watching her soccer games and was so proud every time she scored a goal!

Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Marion; son, Christopher (Jessica) Cejka; daughter, Kimberly (Michael) Allsup; grandchildren, MacKenzie Cejka, Tabitha (Dalton) Peterson, and Tanner Allsup; and great-grandchildren Delaney and Charlotte.

Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Carolyn Nost.
