Mary Louise Condon, 97, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024. Friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Teahen Funeral Home. Burial: Czech National Cemetery.

Mary is survived by her grandchildren Christina (Ted) Tyshenko of Williams Bay, Wisconsin and Brian (Jami) Condon of Kirkwood, Missouri; 3 great-grandchildren, Brady Condon, Avery and Abby Tyshenko; brother, Ed Vosmek and 4 sisters, Joan Shields, Caryle Steggall, Cheryle Steggall, and Sandra Vosmek; daughters-in-law, Terri Condon and Ann Condon, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Robert T. Condon; son, Mark Bradford (Brad) Condon; sister, Darlene Carter.

Mary was born on November 3, 1926 in Cedar Rapids, daughter of Louis and Elsie P. (Henderson)

Vosmek. She married Robert T. Condon on November 22, 1947 in Cedar Rapids. She retired from Rockwell Collins.

Mary was gifted in the arts of painting, drawing, singing, and was an excellent pie baker. She loved to play golf and was a former member of Elmcrest Country Club where she won club championships and achieved 3 holes in one. Mary loved all animals and wildlife and would have rescued them all if she could.

Mary’s family would like to thank the caring staff and community at Cottage Grove for making these last few years feel like home.
