OC Hall Ousley

OC Hall Ousley, 91, of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Crystal Care of Ashland.

 

OC was born on February 21, 1930 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was the son of Elkane and Martha (Prater) Ousley. A dedicated father and grandfather, OC was an excellent provider for his family and always ensured he took great care of his family. Vacationing with his grandchildren brought OC great pleasure in life, and they made many fond memories together. OC retired from Crane Plumbing after a dedicated 36 years of service. He was a member of Real Life Community Church for many years. OC was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and could always be found cheering them on. OC enjoyed fishing.

 

He leaves behind his wife of 72 years, Thelma (Peterson) Ousley; his children, Penny McDonald of Ashland, Michael (Diane) Ousley, Robert (Ellen) Ousley, and Scott Ousley all of Mansfield; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; and his sister-in-law, Vivian Ousley. In addition to his parents, OC was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Pamela Bryant and her husband, Gary Bryant; his sisters, Pearl Ousley, Barbara Ellen Robertson, and Gertrude Ousley; and his brothers, Bertin, Holly, Wayne, Jim and Herbert Ousley.

 

The Ousley family will greet friends on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 11:00 am-1:00pm at Mansfield Alliance Church, 291 West Cook Road. Pastor Phil Green will officiate the funeral service beginning immediately at 1:00 pm. OC will be laid to rest in Caesarea Cemetery. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Ousley family.
