Maysville, Missouri…Clarence Edward Douglas, age 92, was born September 3, 1931, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Oliver Vaughn Douglas and Nellie Beatrice (Cook) and passed away September 20, 2023, in Maysville, Missouri.

Clarence lived most of his life in California until about 15 years ago when he moved to Maysville to live with his brother and sister-in-law, Hank and Susie Douglas, due to failing health.   

While in California, he enlisted in the Marine Corp and worked at Allen Bradley Manufacturing for many years. He enjoyed fishing but especially fishing in the Pacific Ocean along California’s coastline.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tommy Douglas; and daughter, Debra Sue Douglas.

He is survived by his children, Clarence Douglas Jr. and Ella Louise White; brother, Henry “Hank” Clay Douglas (Susie); and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or Wounded Warriors.
