Steven Ayres Hamblin

Steven Ayres Hamblin passed away on June 18, 2023 in Los Angeles, California. He was welcomed to the world on February 4, 1987 to his parents Lisa Hamblin and Stanley Hamblin Jr. To know Steven was to love Steven. During his early years he attended school in the Cleveland Heights School system, where he played football, participated in martial arts, was a member of the high school wrestling team, and various vocal ensembles. He graduated from Heights High in 2005. After high school Steven moved to Columbus where he attended The Ohio State University Newark Campus. Steven accepted Christ into his life in his younger years. He attended Open Door Missionary Baptist Church as well as Freedom Christian Assembly in his youth.

Steven had a very ambitious spirit, which led him to many avenues in entertainment. As a teen, he worked as a salesman going door to door selling knives and also in Sears selling appliances. He worked at Cedar Point and he was also a well known bartender in Columbus, Ohio and Los Angeles, California. He was also involved in music talent management, development, and promotion. He also was an aspiring actor, with his debut role in All American (S2E14 ).

Steven was a fitness guru. He loved to travel to new places to meet new people and try new things. He was a lover of food. He enjoyed singing, drawing, and boxing, he was a character to say the least. He loved to see smiles on the peoples’ faces around him and he especially loved his family. He lived for his family.

Steven is preceded in death by his Great-grandparents Elmer Glaspie, Ida Stubbs, and Pauline Hamblin Grandparents, Bernice and Ronald Redmond, Lucille Alexander, Uncles, Julius and Calvin Redmond, brother Deonte Smith and sister Janelle Black.

Steven is survived by his parents, step- parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece and two nephews and a multitude of family like friends who have been saddened by his death.

We lost Steven, suddenly, however heaven gained an Angel. He was far too young to go so soon. He continues to be loved and carried out through memories. Steven will forever be missed by everyone he met. He was kind, caring, and had a smile that would brighten any room he was in. Steven lived his life to the fullest and would give his last to the ones he loved.

“No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why”.
