Celebrating the Life of
Dolores Antonio Benavides Caballero
April 8, 1960 – October 29, 2025

Born in El Salvador to Alejandro Caballero and Abelina Benavides, Antonio came to San Francisco at the age of 23 in search of better opportunities. It was here that he built a life rooted in hard work, love, and family.

Antonio discovered his passion for cooking soon after arriving in the United States. Through dedication and perseverance, he became a skilled Italian chef who poured his heart into every dish. His kitchen was always filled with laughter, music, and the comforting aroma of good food.

He found joy in simple things — singing along to his favorite songs, visiting his siblings across the world, and sharing stories from his childhood. Despite life’s hardships, Antonio never lost sight of gratitude and always found meaning in the journey.

Those who knew him remember a man who worked tirelessly and cared deeply. He was loyal, devoted, and strong-willed — a man with a big heart who showed his love through action. Behind his serious nature was a warmth that touched everyone he met.

Antonio is survived by his loving wife Mayra, his children Alejandro and Diana, his mother Abelina, and his siblings Ana, Emilia, Lupe, Hilda, Marcia, Carmen, Maria, and Ernesto.
