Jose Roman

Jose Roman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend passed away surrounded by his family after a life filled with love, laughter, and remarkable strength.

Born in Puerto Rico, Jose carried his island roots proudly wherever he went. Puerto Rico was always his heart and home — a place that reflected his warmth, resilience, and joyful spirit.

A hardworking man from a young age, Jose dedicated much of his life to the dry-cleaning business. His tireless work ethic, loyalty, and compassion earned him the admiration of everyone who knew him. Even through life’s challenges — including his long and courageous battle with cancer — Jose never stopped working, never stopped smiling, and never stopped showing up for those he loved. His strength and perseverance were a true inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jose was a man who brought people together. His humor, generosity, and magnetic personality made family, friends, and even strangers feel like they belonged. He had a way of making everyone feel special — leaving behind laughter and love everywhere he went.

Jose shared a beautiful marriage with his wife, Melannie, built on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together they raised two daughters, Rebecca and Melady, who will forever carry his lessons and love in their hearts. He also raised his youngest brother, Jean, as a son — guiding him with the same pride, warmth, and care that defined who Jose was as a father.

He is survived by his loving mother, Alejandrina, his devoted wife Melannie, his daughters Rebecca and Melady, and his brother-son Jean. He is also survived by his seven cherished grandchildren — Travis, Julian, Gabrielle, Alex, Camilla, Cameron, and Amelia — and one precious grandchild on the way.

Jose leaves behind an extensive and devoted family, including brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends in both Boston and Puerto Rico, all of whom will deeply miss his laughter, kindness, and vibrant presence.

He will be remembered for his boundless heart, his humor, and his love for life. Jose’s legacy will continue to live on in the joy and memories he created for everyone fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
