It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our cherished Vaughn C. Lasell, who left us peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

Vaughn was born June 25, 1963 in Ticonderoga, NY, the son of Shirley (Monnette) and Clifford Lasell.

He graduated from Crown Point Central School in 1981 and remained close friends with his classmates throughout his life. After graduating from Canton College, Vaughn went on to work for Verizon for 27 ½ years.

Vaughn could walk into a room and light it up like a Christmas tree with smiles, laughs, hugs and kisses. He was especially known for his warm, kind and sensitive heart. He would give to others before himself. He was a warrior and fighter in his final months of life.

Left to carry on Vaughn’s memory are; his loving wife of 25 years, Kimberly Ann (Burdo) Lasell; her knight in shining armor and love of her life Vaughn also leaves behind his sisters, Vicky and husband, Gary Grey of Moriah, and Joni and husband, Jack Harrington of Crown Point; sister-in-law, Michelle Gough; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Burdo and wife, Amy; aunt, Priscilla Altizer of Peru; several nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous special friends that Vaughn considered family; and his beloved dog, Tahoe.

He is predeceased by his parents, Shirley (Monnette) and Clifford Lasell; grandparents, Alice and Harvey Monette and Katherine and Clifford Lasell; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Donna Lasell; nephew, Jodi Harrington; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Doris (Grammy) and Loyal Burdo; and his wonderful animals Shocka, Midnight and Saga.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 3 to 5 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Rd, Peru.

A celebration of his life will be held at his favorite place, Fern Lake on July 4th, 2026 beginning at Noon and going throughout the day.
