Danny Romero

CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3, 2025 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Danny Romero, age 46, who passed away Monday, October 27, 2025 at his residence in Carencro.

Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Mark Derise, pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, assisted by Deacon Jake Prejean, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Romero was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. He was a man of many talents and a heart full of kindness. He loved spending his days fishing and hunting with his daughter and took great joy in cooking for his family. Known for his easygoing nature, Danny never met a stranger and had a gift for making friends wherever he went. A talented painter with a brilliant mind, Danny brought creativity and warmth to everything he did. His love for life and the people around him will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Survivors include his children, Baily Romero (Tyra Dorsey) of Milton, and Layla Romero of Carencro; his fiancé, Jamie Landry of Carencro; his step-daughter, Breanna Harris; his parents, Michael and Donna Romero of Scott; two grandchildren, Emery and Sadie Romero; one brother, Joey Romero (Jessica) of Rayne; one sister, Danielle Babineaux (Jerome) of Scott; and his nieces and nephews, Jenna Babineaux, Jackson Babineaux, Dylan Babineaux, and Jozlyn Romero.

He was proceeded by his paternal grandparents, Pete Romero, Wilfred and Bella Landry; his maternal grandmother, Janelle Grossie; his uncle, Bryan Arcement; his cousin, Hailey Cormier; and his fiancé’s mother, Phyllis Lewis.

A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Monday until service time on Monday.

Pallbearers will be Baily Romero, Joey Romero, Shane Lewis, Derek Pesson, Jackson Babineaux, and Dylan Babineaux. Honorary pallbearer will be Jerome Babineaux.

In lieu of flowers, contributions towards the family would be greatly appreciated.
