Dalton Mitchell Royer
October 16, 1959 – August 10, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mitchell Royer, 65, of Anahuac, TX. Mitchell passed away peacefully on Sunday August 10, 2025.
Mitchell was born on October 16, 1959 in Winnie, TX. He grew up in the farming community in Winnie before putting down roots in Anahuac, and raising a family.
Mitchell married Natalyn Rakestraw on December 8, 1989, and together they raised 3 children in a loud, but loving and caring home.
He was a jack of all trades and worked hard to provide for his family and loved ones. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and passing along that passion to all he came in contact with. He was a wonderful cook and loved to feed and host friends and family. His favorite things in life were being a husband, a dad, and a “Pops” to his grandchildren.
Mitchell is survived by his wife Natalyn, son Casey & wife Brooke, daughter Elizabeth, granddaughters Stoni & Blake, brother Matthew & wife Blair, and to countless nieces and nephews- whether related or chosen- he was simply “Uncle Mitchell”.
He was preceded in death by daughter Starla Royer, parents Nancy and Raphael Alvarado, and Sisters Molly Duraso & Traci Royer.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday August 18, 2025 at Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac at with Visitation starting at 10:00 am, and Services at 11:00 am.
In honor of Mitchell’s generous spirit, the family asks that you honor his memory by performing an act of kindness for someone in need, in lieu of flowers.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his generous heart, warm smile, loud contagious laugh, and best whistle.🖤
