Renee Walsh

Renee L. Walsh, 62, of Scranton died October 13, 2025 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley following an illness. 

Born December 14, 1962 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Richard P. and JoAnn (Lasher) Walsh. Renee was educated in the Scranton schools, and employed for many years as a machine operator at Gertrude Hawk Chocolates in Dunmore. She later worked at the Barry Callebout Corporation. She was of the Protestant faith.

Surviving are her children Amber L. Hanstein and partner Kyle Britt of Greentown, PA, and Eric M. Hanstein and partner Brittani Gilpin of Scranton; her grandchildren: Willow Hanstein, Laney Hanstein, Zaine Hanstein and Natalie Britt; her sister Lori (Walsh) Boswick; her husband Mel Boswick; and Nephew Robby Burns of Scranton; her sister-In-law Laurie Watkins-Decker; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Renee was preceded in death by her brother Richard P. Walsh Jr. and her partner Mark Hanstein.
