Charles Ernest Giese, Jr.
Char was born January 11, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan. His Mother, Ruth Heilman Giese had a VERY full-time job as a stay at home Mom as Char had 7 brothers and sisters. Charlie’s father, Charlie Senior, was an accountant and took great pride in each of his children. Charlie came along as number 5 in the lineup. 5 boys and 3 girls would complete the pack.
Char’s parents came from large families as well and by the time Char was a grown man and husband there were countless Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins! Too many to count or name here. However, the entire Giese clan was a close-knit group. There were lots of family dinners and picnics when all the kids were young and eventually many large family reunions. Charlie loved the big family events and went to as many as he could. His wife of almost 30 years, Darlene Przytulski was a good sport and went right along with him to these events. She also enjoyed the family times and was friends with many of the cousins and relatives.
Char was an avid motorcycle enthusiast for many years and enjoyed long and short trips all over Michigan. He had a beautiful black Harley for many years. When he was a younger adult, he went to the big Harley gatherings in Wyoming several times. According to Char, those events were beautiful and amazing!
Char worked at General Motors for 30 years and finally retired 10 years ago. He then took to sitting and relaxing in his own beautiful back yard in Brighton or in his garage “cave” watching the world go by.
If you knew Char at all….you loved him. His nieces and nephews all very much enjoyed spending time with him. He could be quite a character and always had great stories to tell.
Unfortunately, we had to say good-bye to him much earlier than any of us planned. He can never be replaced in our hearts or forgotten in our love.
