Mohammad Norry Shahangian, 81, of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

Norry was born on March 11, 1944, in Theran, Iran and was the son of the late Hassan and Fatimah Shahangian.

Norry was a graduate of Hickman High School in 1967, afterwards he attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri for his undergraduate and then gained his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Missouri.

He was a man of many talents, from running his own restaurant, to being the Deputy Director of Purchasing for the Office of Administration for the State of Missouri.

Norry found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life. He took great pride in yardwork, often spending hours outdoors tending to his lawn and garden—always with a smile and a sense of purpose. A devoted fan of the Washington Redskins, he rarely missed a game, cheering on his team with unwavering loyalty. Music was a constant companion in his life, and he had a special place in his heart for classic Westerns, both in film and television. These timeless stories of grit and honor echoed his own values.

Above all, Norry was a devoted family man. He loved nothing more than gathering with loved ones, sharing a meal he proudly cooked himself. Whether he was manning the grill or preparing a favorite family recipe, his kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and togetherness. His love, presence, and hearty laugh will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Norry is survived by his Son; Jason Shahangian, Daughter; Tara Shahangian, Brother; Perry Shahangian, and Sister; Efticar Shahangian, Grandchildren; Anastasia Henderson, Olivia Henderson, Brooklyn Shahangian, and Jaselyn Shahangian.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Linda Shahangian, and Brother; Ali Shahangian.

Visitation will be held on October 17, 2025 at Houser-Millard Funeral directors from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 12:00pm.
