Kevin Turk

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kevin Dean Turk, who left us on September 21, 2025, at the age of 64.

Kevin was born on June 16, 1961, in Estevan, Saskatchewan, to Donald and Delores Turk. He spent much of his life in Estevan, Saskatchewan, before making Thompson, Manitoba his home, where he and his wife, Brenda, raised their family together with love and dedication. Married since 1985, Kevin and Brenda built a life rooted in devotion, partnership, and laughter.

As a young man, Kevin spent many years farming, a time in his life he always cherished. After moving to Thompson, he continued his career as a semi-truck driver with Gardewine, where his strong work ethic and reliability shone.

Kevin had a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who always knew which hook, which color, and exactly where the fish were. His love of nature was matched only by his love of family.

Those who knew Kevin will remember his larger-than-life personality, his quick humor, and the way his presence filled every room he was in. Above all, Kevin was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He called his children daily—sometimes several times a day—just to check in, to share a laugh, or to let them know he cared.

Kevin was the proud father of Megan Turk, Jennifer Fyke (James Fyke), Amanda Bulloch (Clinton Bulloch), and Kyle Turk. He was a doting grandfather to Liam Lafreniere, Alexi Fyke, and Brielle Fyke, who brought him immense joy. He is survived by his mother, Delores, and siblings Candace Michel and Trevor Turk, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and is predeceased by his father, Donald, and brother, Richard.

Kevin’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family. He was a provider, a leader, and a deeply caring man who will be profoundly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
