HAROLD LOYD ARDOIN

Funeral services were held at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Pine Prairie on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, for Harold Lloyd Ardoin, 90, who passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019, in Alexandria, surrounded by his loved ones. Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou was in charge of arrangements.
The family requested that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. A rosary was recited by Deacon Chuck Ortego at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation resumed on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Father Kenneth Mayne, Pastor of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, was celebrant of the mass and conducted all funeral services. Burial took place in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Harold Lloyd Ardoin was born in Easton, on April 1, 1928, to John and Neva Landreneau Ardoin. He was a parishioner at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Pine Prairie. Harold retired as an oilfield gauger and was a School Bus Driver for Evangeline Parish School System. He raised cattle and goats. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time in the woods squirrel hunting. His greatest love was the love he had for his family. He loved spending time with his family making many memories with them.
He is survived by his daughters, Sue Ardoin Lafleur and husband, Curtis Lafleur, and Debbie Oge and companion Larry Louviere both of Pine Prairie; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and special friend, Juanita Fontenot.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Neva Landreneau Ardoin; son, Doug Ardoin; brothers, Charlie Ardoin and Allen Ardoin; and wife, Nora Lee Guillory Ardoin.
Pallbearers are Mike Soileau, Chad Soileau, Lance Oge, Dustin Ardoin, Garret Soileau and Ty Aymond.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Christus St. Francis Cabrini Physical Rehab and 6th North Staff for their excellent care.
