Francis “Frank” Haviland passed away unexpectedly in his home on October 5th, 2025.
Frank was born in 1955 in Tarrytown, NY, to his parents Florence and Arthur Haviland. He grew up in Yorktown Heights, NY, where he graduated from Yorktown High School in 1973. After high school, he had several jobs including A&P in Yorktown, Westchester County Beeline Bus, and a bus driver for Byram Hills School District, where he retired from in 2021. Frank spent many years volunteering at multiple places including Yorktown Fire Dept. as a fireman and the Wolf Conservation Center.
After Frank’s retirement, he participated in many activities to keep himself busy. This includes a meetup group he organized named “Never a Dull Moment” where they would go to trivia, concerts, festivals and so on. He also would go on hikes with his dogs. He spent his time with his beloved family, friends, and dogs.
Frank was survived by his brothers: Arthur and Greg Haviland, his sister Pam Haviland, his children: Robert, Jennifer and Stephanie Haviland, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Dominique, Tyler, Liam, Ryder and Eliana. He will be met in heaven by his parents Florence and Arthur Haviland and children Francis and Florence Haviland.
