With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Teresa Ann D’Alessandro, on August 22, 2025, at the age of 86. Born February 6, 1939, in Philadelphia, PA., Teresa lived most of her life in New York; her greatest joy was her family, and she devoted her life to raising her five children. She was a source of wisdom to her children and grandchildren.
Teresa began her career at Dime Savings Bank and went on to becomea Mortgage Broker. She had an unwavering devotion to her Catholicfaith and later in life donated her time to volunteer at Graymoor. She lived a life filled with love and kindness and worked as a home health aide providing care to those in need until she retired. Upon retirement she enjoyed playing bingo and blackjack and trips with her family to Foxwoods.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Donald Kizer [Kathy Bruno], Latrice Hammond [Edward Hammond], Adele D’Alessandro and Teresa Ann D’Alessandro; her precious grandchildren Lauren Greene, Edward Hammond, Jr., Tara Rose Hammond, Stephanie Ferreira, Dakota Kannenberg, Crystal Herbert, Jamie Kizer, Tristan Merlino and Juliette D’Alessandro and her precious Great Grand Children Skyler, Lucas, Riley and Robbie Greene and Sophia and Gabriella Ferreira. She was preceded in death by her daughter Dawn Margotta and her husbands’ Donald Kizer and Raymond D’Alessandro.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on Thursday August 28 with visiting from 9:30 to 11:30 at Dorsey Carlone Funeral Home in Peekskill, NY. Immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon, Church of the Holy Spirit in Cortlandt Manor and interment at Rose Hills Cemetery in Putnam Valley, NY.
