STONINGTON, MAINE – Edward (Ed) Francis Courville 90, passed away peacefully at home, June 19, 2025. He was born March 24, 1035 in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Hector and Mary (Thibeault) Courville.
Edward joined the Air Force in 1954 until 1978, leaving with an honorable discharge. Coming to Stonington with his wife Edythe, he began a second career working for Bangor Hydro as a lineman, until he retired.
Edward is survived by his wife of 67 years, Edythe (Jackson) Courville; his son, Arthur Courville and wife, Carol; daughter, Mary Jeewek-Taylor; grandchildren, Gregory Courville, Madeline Courville and partner, Cory, Cristina Camacho and husband, Ray, David Jeewek and partner, Danielle, and James Jeewek and wife, Jessica Quinn; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Eckman and husband, Joel, David R. Jeewek, Lily Jeewek, Charles Jeewek, Steven Jeewek, Matthew Jeewek, Brody Jeewek, Avarie Camacho, Taelynn Camacho, and Tanner Camacho; and sister-in-law, Donna Jackson; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Edward was predeceased by his parents; grandparents; brother, Donald; sister, Doris; aunt, Mary; father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Marion Jackson; and, brother-in-law Milford (Jack) Jackson.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2026.
