Mianying Wang

Mianying Wang M.D. & M.S.,78, of Rockford, passed away in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center on August 29, 2025. Dr. Wang attended medical school in Henan Province, China.

She was a researcher and former Research Associate Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford. Her work focused on cancer prevention, nutrition, and Morinda citrifolia (noni). She was a naturalized American citizen and involved in the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by husband, Lin Peng; son, Pete Peng; daughter, Lei Peng; brother-in-law, Hongyan Peng and his daughter, Mingtian.
