Gail Rouskey

Gail L. (Magnuson) Rouskey, age 86 of Ashland, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Ashland Health Services in Ashland, WI. Gail was born on January 3, 1939 in Ashland, the daughter of Herbert R. and S. Helen (Webster) Magnuson.

She graduated from Ashland High School, Ashland County Normal and Northland College. She taught for over forty years, in many of the area schools, including WITC in Ashland. She was a published author, and enjoyed art work, crafts, crocheting, and playing games. Her two greatest loves were the Lord, and her family.

She is survived by her children, Lee Anne (Michael) Taylor of Bellevue, NE; Dana Lynn (Jeff) Gurske of Maple, WI and Danielle Maria (Brian Abbott) Rouskey of Ashland; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; four lifelong friends, Beatrice, Betty, Bonnie, Lori.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her half brother, Herbert A. Magnuson.

A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2025 at the Mountain Funeral Home in Ashland, WI with Fr. Jerome D’Souza as officiate. A gathering of family and friends will start at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home in Ashland and continue until the hour of service.
