Lawrence Oscar Kruzan, age 80 of Highbridge, WI passed away on August 1, 2025 at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Larry was born on November 11, 1944 to Mark and Dorie Kruzan. He graduated from Mellen High School in 1962. Larry was drafted into the army in 1965 and served two years in the service including one year in Vietnam. He received the Purple Heart for injuries sustained in action.

Larry worked as a lineman for Excel Energy for 33 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether that be working the land in his Kubota tractor, gardening, or picking blueberries. He had a passion for woodworking. He built many pieces of furniture over the years and helped his sons build their homes. He enjoyed watching baseball, especially his sons and grandson. He also enjoyed working his bees and harvesting the honey each year. November deer season was always something to look forward to. Larry deeply loved the company of his grandchildren.

Larry was married to Patricia Louise Whalen on August 23, 1968. They had two sons, Scott (Tish) and Philip (Kris). Larry and Pat have 6 grandchildren: Baily, Karly, and Marcus Kruzan and Francis, Della, and Misko Keahna.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Pat (Patsy), two brothers and one sister Jerry (Jan) Kruzan, Dennis (Judy) Kruzan, Candy (John) Landry.

A graveside service with military honors for Larry will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Highbridge, WI with Rev. Donald Quigley officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Mellen, WI.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ashland and Mellen, WI.
