It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we sadly announce the passing of George “Baron” Keiling who departed this life on July 31, 2025, at the age of 94. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Baron was born at Dobbs Ferry Hospital on 11/11/30 at 11:00 am, Veteran’s Day and he graduated from Dobbs Ferry High School.
Baron was a man of quiet strength and unwavering devotion with everything he did. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a man who gave more than he took, who showed up when it counted, and who left this world better than he found it.
He was a skilled carpenter with an unmatched work ethic, founder and owner of Keiling Carpentry, coining the term “No Job Too Small”. He served our country as a proud Marine, he was a member of the Tarrytown VFW Drum Corps, where he met the love of his life, MaryAnn, with whom he shared 69 years. Baron was a member of the Dobbs Ferry Fire Department for over 76 years as a member of Ogden Engine Company where he rose through the ranks to Chief. He and his father were the original volunteer drivers of the Dobbs Ferry Hospital Ambulance, before it became a volunteer-run service.
He is survived by his loving wife, MaryAnn; his children Debbie Noone, George (Mary) Keiling, Michael (Suzy) Keiling, and Dawn Keiling; his grandchildren Ryan, Shaun, and Tyler Noone, George Keiling IV, Tim and Katie Keiling, Paige Cataldo; and his great-grandchild Brianna Noone, who will carry his spirit forward with pride and love. He was predeceased in death by his mother and father George and Margaret Keiling; his sisters Arlene Oros and Alice Reilly; and his son-in-law Jimmy Noone.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Dobbs Ferry Fire Department or Tunnel to Towers.
