Doris “Dori” Jean Ross

October 7, 1947- July 13, 2025

Dori passed away on July 13 at her home in San Francisco after a long illness. She is survived by her son Paul Peninger and a community of family and friends who will miss her deeply. Her charm, grace, and playful sense of humor made her unforgettable.

Services for Dori will be held on September 10th at 10:30 AM at Grace Cathedral, 1100 California St, San Francisco. 

A reception with refreshments will follow. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made online in Dori’s honor to Grace Cathedral or KQED.
