Magnitude 3.5 earthquake recorded early Saturday in Lyon County north of Yerington

A magnitude 3.55 earthquake happened early Saturday morning centered 11 miles north, northeast of Yerington in Lyon County.

The Nevada Seismological Laboratory and USGS has the earthquake recorded at 12:14 a.m. at a depth of 6.95 kilometers or 4.3 miles.

A much smaller earthquake of 1.4 magnitude was recorded at 5:05 a.m. in the same area.

There are no reports of damage.
