In Loving Memory of Angel Pascual Baez Royer “Papucho”

October 2, 1992 to July 30, 2025

Angel Pascual Baez Royer, lovingly known as “Papucho,” was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to his devoted parents Pascual Baez and Joseline Royer. From the beginning, his life was filled with love from God, his family, and all who knew him.

Angel was baptized in the Catholic faith and began his education at Colegio Bilingüe New Horizons. He spent his childhood surrounded by his mother and cousins, creating joyful memories that shaped his kind and adventurous spirit.

As an adult, Angel found peace and purpose in the water. Riding jet skis brought him joy, clarity, and a strong sense of belonging. He also built community through fitness, dedicating himself to health and strength. His discipline and passion made him a role model and inspired many.

He was more than a hardworking businessman. Angel was a loving son, brother, cousin, boyfriend, nephew, grandson, coach, and friend. His ambition, warmth, and radiant smile left a lasting impact. He had a gift for turning passion into purpose and brought light wherever he went.

On July 30, 2025, at just 32 years old, Angel tragically passed away in the Harlem Hudson River doing what he loved most. While his loss is immeasurable, we find peace knowing he left this world in his element and is now at rest.

Angel’s presence will forever live on in the hearts of those who love him. He will always be remembered as the pride and joy of his family and forever his parents’ Angel.
