Lawrence “Larry” Tisdale

Lawrence “Larry” Tisdale

Lawrence “Larry” Tisdale, 90, of Ontario, reunited with his loving wife whom he affectionately referred to as “Teddy Bear” on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Larry was born on October 10, 1931 in Pataskala, Ohio. He was the son of William and Melva (Lindsey) Tisdale.

Larry retired from the State Ohio in the Department of Unemployment Services, and proudly served in the United States Air National Guard and Army Reserves. A piece of Larry went with his wife, Constance, when she passed away as she was his true love. A true family man, Larry enjoyed being with his family and deeply loved them. Giving, generous, and hard working, Larry never took credit for his giving as he would always say, “Don’t thank me, Thank God.” He was a believer in Christian and Jewish fellowship and was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. He was a 28 year member of the Mansfield Liederkranz. In his spare time, he enjoyed dancing, camping and bowling, and loved a relaxing ride on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, everyone called him “Blue Eyes”.

He leaved behind to cherish many shared memories together his daughters, Kathy (David) Paone of Ontario and Darlene (Jerry) Birchfield of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Angel (Benny) Leightey, David (Shellie) Paone III, Lawrence (Karen) Paone, Krista (Dennis) Smith, Kristin Wells, Shyanna Birchfield, Brian Lookbaugh, Toni (Jeff) Binion, Troy Lookbaugh, Joell Soria, and Adriene Lookbaugh; numerous great-grandchildren; and his nieces, Cheryl Berry-Harris and Pam Berry-Ladd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Constance (Semonoff) Tisdale; his sons, Anthony Tisdale and Thomas Lookbaugh; his grandsons, Craig Lookbaugh and Thomas Lookbaugh Jr.; his sister, Gloria Berry-Jaynes; and his much loved corgi, Bae-Bae.

Family and friends may visit from 10:00-11:00 am on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Jonathan Stufft officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities or the Richland County Humane Society.
