Jackie Welsh

Jackie Iris Welsh, 92, of Boise, ID passed away on Monday June 16th, 2025.

Born on May 11, 1933 in Lubbock, Texas to Martin and Francis Altman. She resided in Lubbock until moving to Boise at age 18. She married James (Jim) Welsh in Boise on August 2, 1952. They raised a family of five children and Jackie was a homemaker her entire life. Jim preceded her in death in 2004.

She is survived by her children Jimmy Welsh, Judy Welsh (Jim Donaldson), Karen Lee (Dave Hilt), Diane Lindley (Todd Lindley). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren as well as her sister Janelle Gatlin and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jim, her daughter Kelly Newell and her son’s in law Del Newell and Mark Lee. She is also preceded by her brother Hoyt Altman, sisters Mildred Tompkinson and Vivienne Hill and all of her brothers and sister’s in-law.
