Susan Buford

Susan Michele Kokai Buford was born on May 3rd, 1952, and on January 10th, 2025, she met the love of her life again at the gates of Heaven. She dedicated her life to her children, husband and family.

Susan attended Chula Vista High School where she met the love of her life William Buford, and they together graduated with the mighty class of 1970. She was a Teacher’s Assistant and loved all things about world cultures. She was passionate about her cross stitching and knitting. She loved to sit with a hot cup of tea and read. Susan enjoyed hockey games, watching her kids play in sports or perform in theater. She never missed a game or performance.

She is survived by her three children, Amber Callender, Matthew Buford, Amanda Ellison, her daughter in law, Rebekah Buford and son in law, Richard Ellison. She also leaves behind her three grandchildren, Trevor, Rhylee and Hailey.

Her family finds comfort and peace in that she is no longer in pain and has been reunited with her high school sweetheart and her family that has gone before her.
