Becky Ackerland

Becky J. Ackerland, age 69 of Davenport, passed away on Saturday January 11, 2025 at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15 from 5-7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. After visitation, cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be at a later date in the Lowden Cemetery.

Becky was born on September 11, 1955 in DeWitt to Robert and Helen (Stolte) Gottschalk. She married Duane Ackerland in 1992. He passed away in 2014.

Becky is survived by her sons Ryan (April) Gottschalk of Davenport and Derek Mayfield of Bettendorf; daughter Carisa Mayfield of Aurora, IL; grandchildren Kaela, Aubrianna, Shayla, Mariah, Imansu, Dazavior, Rayna, Ryan Jr., Portia, Hope, Faith, and Harmony; 10 great grandchildren; and brother Royce (Lisa) Gottschalk of Lowden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Roger, Ricky, and Randy; sister Barbara; and grandson Vincent.

Becky was a very caring and loving person who cared about everybody, but especially her grandkids who were the world to her. She was a strong, versatile, and intelligent woman who had a green thumb and dearly loved animals.
